Lessons Learned In The Wilderness – The Wandering Years
Book #2 in the series
Why did a journey that God ordained to take slightly longer than one year, end up taking forty years? Why, instead of enjoying the fruits of the land of milk and honey, did the Israelites end up wandering in the desert wilderness for forty years? Why did one generation follow God out of Egypt only to die there, leaving the next generation to follow Him into the Promised Land?
In my own journeys through the wildernesses of my life, I can look back and see where God has turned me back from that land of promise to wander a while longer in the wilderness. God has given us the wilderness to prepare us for His land of promise, but if when we reach the border we are not ready, He will turn us back to wander.
If God is allowing you to continue to wander in the wilderness, it is because He has more to teach you about Himself – His Person, His purpose and His power. "Lessons Learned In The Wilderness - The Wandering Years" – chronicles through sixty-one “bite-sized” chapters those lessons we see recorded in the books of Numbers and Deuteronomy. Remember, God is preparing you for all that He is preparing for you – even during these “wandering years”.

God's plan for our lives is not static; He is continuously calling us to draw closer, to climb higher and to move further. In that process, He is moving us out of our comfort zone to His land of promise for our lives. That process includes time in the wilderness. Many times it is easier to see the truth that God is teaching us through the lives of others than it is through our own lives.
"Lessons Learned In The Wilderness - The Journey Begins" chronicles those stories, those examples and those truths as revealed through the lives and experiences of the Israelites, as recorded in the Book of Exodus, in "sixty-one" bite-sized chapters. We will examine the sircumstances, the surroundings and the people in such a way that highlights the similarities to our lives, as we then apply those same truths to our own life journey as the Lord God Jehovah leads us through the wilderness.

God sent His Son to take on flesh that His Word, His Truth, His glory, His love and His faithfulness might be revealed. God sent His Son to take on flesh that His work of redemption might be made complete. God sent His Son to take on flesh so that His creation could be reconciled unto Him.
